Diyet will be showcasing at the Breakout West Festival this October 21-23, 2011 in Whitehorse, Yukon. Times and locations TBD. Come on out and support Yukon artists and listen to tons of amazing music!

This summer in the month of July Diyet will join forces with some of Canada and Greenland’s amazing aboriginal talents in a series of collaborative concerts. The “Sixty Degrees of Separation” collaboration will feature Diyet from the Yukon, Leela Gilday from the Northwest Territories and Nive Nieslen from Greenland. This concert will be showcased at the premier of the Adaka Cultural Festival July 1st to the 9th in Whitehorse, Yukon.

Another collaborative event that Diyet will take part in will be at the Harrison Festival of the Arts in Harrison Hot Springs, BC. This collaborative effort dubbed “New Directions: Aboriginal Collaboration” will feature Diyet performing with Leela Gilday, Kinnie Starr, Diga and Cris Derksen giving two performances on July 16th and 17th.

Diyet will be performing at the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards this November 26, 2010 in Hamilton, Ontario. A wonderful honour and blessing. Can’t wait!

It will be a whirlwind weekend – Winnipeg on the 5th for the APCMA’s and back on the 6th for Blue Feather. The weekend couldn’t have sounded any better!

The Breaking Point climbs the charts this week to #1 on the national aboriginal music countdown. Thanks to Melissa Spence for being a great host, week after week.

Diyet’s debut album, The Breaking Point has been nominated for album of the year at the 2010 Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards in Hamilton, Ontario this November 26.
