NEW ACOUSTIC SINGLE

8th Wonder

I often share the story behind this song during my concerts. It began with a conversation with my mom about her childhood experience in an Indian Residential School. Outside of North America, little is known about the colonial practice of taking Indigenous children from their communities to schools outwardly appearing like boarding schools, where they were taught to become "good Canadians." The policy aimed to remove the Indian from the child, resulting in a brutal and abusive regime that lasted for generations. Remarkably, they never succeeded. The resilience of the children and the miracle of their spirit ensured that our cultures and communities remain and have the opportunity to thrive once again.

This song is the second track on a new Acoustic EP being released only in the UK, Belgium and Netherlands in support of our tour there in May, 2026. We're sharing it exclusively with all our Bandcamp followers! Watch now on YouTube
